The newly renamed professional body, Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC), provides information on the 12 programs offered. Of the following 12 programs, 9 are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Canadian University Programs in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (CACUP-ASLP).According to the CACUP-ASLP’s website the programs are broken down as follows:

With the exception of Université de Montreal, only postgraduate programs are offered in the field and a Master’s degree is required to become a qualified S-LP in Canada. Therefore, an undergraduate degree in a related or unrelated field must be obtained and prerequisite courses for the S-LP program must be completed prior to start the Master’s program.
